Hi, I am Candice Donaldson.

Let me tell you a little bit about my background and how I got where I am today.

 

I was born in Rhodesia and moved to South Africa as a young child. 

 

My love for sewing and knitting was kindled in primary school where we learnt to sew on hand-operated Singers and were introduced to knitting too. 

 

As a teenager, my Nana (Who was my biggest supporter yet my toughest critic) helped me refine a few of my sewing skills as well as taught me to crochet too. 

 

When I got married and became a mum to 3 boys, unfortunately, there just wasn't enough time for my love for all things sewing, and it became a side thought for many years.

 

Not until about 15 years ago when a friend asked why I didn’t give quilting a go. So after a bit of convincing, I did and my goodness was I hooked. 

 

Fast forward a few years and the opportunity arose to buy over a shop full of quilting stock and I jumped at it.  Through this venture, I have met some amazing people and made lifelong friends. 

In March 2018 I became a Husqvarna Viking, Pfaff and Singer accredited dealer which has been an amazing journey.
